AI Journalist

The ET-Lab developed this AI bot with the Star-News, a newspaper in Wilmington, N.C., to provide responsive answers about the local community to users. The AI bot is trained on thousands of newspaper readers' questions and hundreds of journalists’ responses from the newspaper’s “My Reporter” section of the website, allowing users to ask Star-News journalists questions about the community. The AI bot also indexes local and national media sites and information services to provide the answers to users.
